The Liberty Theatre Foundation and U.S. Bank Foundation invite the community to a celebration and check presentation on Thursday, Oct. 16 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the La Grande U.S. Bank branch located at 1402 Adams Ave. Refreshments will be provided and attendees will have the opportunity to visit with Liberty Theatre representatives about the restoration project.
The Liberty Theatre Foundation is a proud recipient of a $3,000 grant for operational expenses from the U.S. Bank Foundation. “We are thrilled to add U.S. Bank to our list of supporters,” Chantell Cosner, the foundation’s executive director said. “These grant funds will provide us with the resources to reach out into the community with confidence and engage the public in our project,” she said. The grant budget includes funds for website upgrades and donation management software.
“This is an exciting time to live in La Grande and have an organization like the Liberty Theatre Foundation working so hard to bring such a beautiful resource to our city,” said Bob Kavanaugh, U.S. Bank’s Oregon Trail District Manager. “It’s an honor to partner with the Liberty Theatre and we are looking forward to bright future of Arts and Theatre in Eastern Oregon”
U.S. Bank’s giving program provides grant support for organizations with missions centered on affordable housing, economic development, education, and cultural and artistic enrichment. In 2013, the foundation gave $23.4 million in grant funding to communities around the United States and 17 percent of funds went to arts and culture related organizations and projects.
