About the Stage Door
Due to a renovation of the theater in 1985, the foundation has been able to establish the Stage Door Theater in the back of the Liberty Theatre building. This venue seats about 50 patrons and hosts a variety of events ranging from arts and cultural performances to community and city meetings.
The theater contains some of the original seating from the Liberty Theatre. When the Liberty closed, its seats were donated to the La Grande Elks Lodge. In 2009, these seats were returned to the Stage Door Theater. The Stage Door Theater helps raise interest and awareness for the renovation project and provides the community with a temporary space while work on the theater is in progress.

Rental
Interested in renting the Stage Door Theater? The rental fee for the theater is $50 per day. You can download our rental agreement form here: Stage Door Rental Agreement. This form can be filled out directly on your computer and emailed to info@libertyonadams.org or mailed to PO Box 3057. If you will be serving alcohol at your event please allow for time to acquire the proper insurance and permitting. The Liberty Theatre Foundation does not endorse any particular party or religious organization and therefore overtly political or religious events are discouraged. For more information email info@libertyonadams.org or call (541)626-3051.
Booking
The Liberty Theater Foundation enjoys booking musicians regularly as way of off-setting our current operations costs. Acoustic musicians work well in the Stage Door due to its size and naturally good acoustics. We are unable to provide a PA system or microphones at this time. If you think that you would be a good match for the Stage Door please email a press packet and inquiry to info@libertyonadams.org. We seek sponsorships from area businesses in order to bring live music to the Grande Ronde Valley. Because of this we need at least three weeks to adequately prepare for an event.
