Grant Award – Oregon Cultural Trust

Liberty Theatre Foundation Inc. announces receipt of $28,171 from the Oregon Cultural Trust. Liberty was awarded a fiscal year 2019 Cultural Development Award, and will be applying the funds to streetfront (Façade) work. This work is expected to commence soon.

The Cultural Trust is connected with the Oregon Parks Department. CT awarded 87 grants totaling $1.5 million across the State this cycle. Beyond this specific Grant, another $1.5 million was disbursed to Statewide Partners and County and Tribal Coalitions. This was a record-breaking year for the Trust. The State efforts to promote Cultural Development is a truly amazing effort.

We remind Liberty supporters that a donation to the rust, which can be done online at, qualify as a credit on the Oregon income tax return, meaning donations of up to $500 (single or married filing separate) or $1,000 married joint, can reduce State taxes for the year paid. In other words, if one gets the full benefit of the credit, it costs the taxpayer nothing. Use Credit Code 807.

Liberty’s many volunteers and supporters express great appreciation to the Cultural Trust for this important boost.
